We were invited to submit a design for a new 210 place primary school, which responded strongly to the various difficulties the site provided, as well as to the high sustainability and technology driven brief.

 

The design was orientated to provide a sound barrier from road noise and to provide the best natural light, allowing the building to be as passive as possible. We also wanted to create an undulating central “Street” that provided a variety of secondary teaching spaces for smaller group or individual learning.
